I watched on TV the carrying of the Olympic torch yesterday for the beginning of the "Games" .
This morning I got up with wanting to do an abstract of The Olympic Torch. It's 12x18 inches digital painting.

As the month of July edges closer to August our new home gets closer to completion. Haven't been able to see the inside of our apartment since it's on the ninth floor and the elevators are not installed yet and I'm not going to climb up 9 floors, so we look at our balcony from the street. This gave me an idea for a painting . This was one of the times that I got an idea
for a painting instead of just starting and see where it takes me. I
call it "First Light". (from our balcony to be)

Who Is this Guy?
Gene & Ricardo Palma
Hi! I'm Gene Foltuz
I've been creating art for most of my life. As a student of both engineering design and art, I've always enjoyed the creative process. Now retired from a corporate career and living in Peru with my amazing wife Lauris, I devote my time to creating art in many styles and mediums, as well as traveling whenever the opportunity presents itself. When viewing my abstracts, some people ask "What is it?" to which I always answer "Whatever you want it to be."
