Sail Away
When I finished this painting I did something that I don't usually do, I named it. It feels so free to me that it might sail off the paper it was painted on. As the colors poured freely onto the white heavy bond paper I took my pallet knife and pulled and pushed the colors together then with colors on the knife I created horizontals and verticals through the puddles of colors making the most interesting designs. The blues and the yellow changed to green. Red attacked and blue turned to deep Cobalt. White lay dormant until I tipped the paper and small rivers of red and blue became pink and light sky blue. I stopped to let the work rest and dry. As it lay quietly the painting began it's final ebb and flow taking on a life of it's own. Motion frozen in time. It was completed.

Gene, I think I like this as much as any of your other work. The colors are vibrant, the whole think is balanced, and it makes me smile when I look at it.
