I thought that this would be time to come back to my blog. I have a new media form to express my craft. I'm using a digital art program to create abstract art. I hope that those who read my thoughts will find them enjoyable and will enjoy looking at my art work.
I've not stopped using my airbrush or paint brushes. In fact I have a new air compressor to replace the that stopped working.
This digital painting is called "Fountains of Lima" it is a 16X16in. painting. I have created about 17 Digital paintings.

A thought for Easter
Nothing brings the out the beauty of Easter as does the elaborately colored eggs that my sister produced.

Sail Away
When I finished this painting I did something that I don't usually do, I named it. It feels so free to me that it might sail off the paper it was painted on. As the colors poured freely onto the white heavy bond paper I took my pallet knife and pulled and pushed the colors together then with colors on the knife I created horizontals and verticals through the puddles of colors making the most interesting designs. The blues and the yellow changed to green. Red attacked and blue turned to deep Cobalt. White lay dormant until I tipped the paper and small rivers of red and blue became pink and light sky blue. I stopped to let the work rest and dry. As it lay quietly the painting began it's final ebb and flow taking on a life of it's own. Motion frozen in time. It was completed.

2010 /31/12
Last chance to post something in 2010. So I'll try to think of a quote for the day.....(thinking)..."The people who make art their life are mostly dreamers."

Just finished a painting!
Yesterday, after a long dry spell of getting our house in order here in Lima I was able to stretch a canvas and paint. What a good feeling to be putting paint on canvas again. Not sure what to call this work, but I'm sure I'll think of something.

The quote of the day...
“I begin with an idea and then it becomes something else.”
Pablo Picasso
Me too.
It's a start...
I did a painting! However it was painted on our serving tray. The tray was in need of a face lift. So instead of just slapping a coat of paint on it I thought why not paint something abstract. So I did...
The tray sits in our Tea Cart. I think it came out rather interesting.

A NEW STUDIO
I have a STUDIO again, in Lima Peru!! It's over a month since my last post but I will start posting again. I plan to start painting again in about a week. We are still getting organized in our new house, but when we have a handle on where all our stuff belongs I can concentrate on ART. :-)
